I am very excited about this Christmas concert. I will be singing along with three wonderful guest vocalists: George Evans from Toronto, Vancouver's own Candus Churchill and Carman J. Price; also from Vancouver. Two other invited guests are latin jazz guitarists Andre Stephen and Martin Simpson; co-leaders of the Vancouver group Alma Libre. My band and I have performed the Christmas Jazz Vespers for several years in a row now. Playing our renditions of Christmas music in the lovely St. Andrew's-Wesley Church always helps put me right into the real spirit of Christmas and hopefully does the same for some of the listeners. This will also be Rev. Gordon Turner's last Vespers since he is retiring.
